D.Va MEKA Headset from Razer review!

Hey guys, here's another review for ya! This time, it's an awesome headset from Razer designed after D.va's own! ( D.va is from Overwatch if, for some reason, you didn't already know :P )

I'm not doing an unboxing post but it does come packaged very well with everything securely in place. Ok, so on to the quick review!

DESIGN :

I actually like the way this thing looks and feels. I thought the shape would be odd since it doesn't have the typical curve on top but it rests on top of the head just fine. I was also concerned about the ear pieces themselves because it is complete piece, instead of a big or small cup that goes on or over your ears. I worried most about that part because I am actually pretty sensitive to anything being on my head, as in, I get headaches VERY easily from wearing hats, beanies, headsets, etc etc.

With that said, this headset is pretty comfy. The ear pieces are extremely soft and squishy and should be comfortable for most people. For myself, they were comfy for the MOST part, but I would have to slightly adjust them a bit every now and then since they do put a little pressure on your ears. Personally, I have the other Overwatch headset from Razer and I MUCH prefer these over those in terms of the comfort levels.

Also, the little 'antenna' pieces are soft rubber like pieces that bend. I make note of this because they won't break as easily like plastic would and what not, but if you have pets, I could easily see them chewing on this piece and taking it apart very fast!

SOUND QUALITY :

This thing is AMAZING for sound! It might be because of the way the earpiece 'fits' into your ears but when playing Overwatch with this I could finally hear everything the game had to offer. Seriously, I was hearing little nuances I had never heard before. And again, I have the previous Overwatch headset from Razer and these BLOW those away for sound quallity. You won't be disappointed in that department!

Now, this thing only comes with a 3.5mm plug ( typical headphone plug ) and it is advertised that is an audio + mic jack. For me, this did NOT work on my pc for mic useage. When plugged into my pc, a mic was not even detected. There are no other drivers provided or listed for download so don't count on that to help you if it doesn't work for you as well. I had to take the splitter that came with my previous Overwatch headset to get the mic to work. It was plug and play and worked as intended with that splitter.

This may or may not work for you guys on your systems as it does say it will work with 'supported devices' but keep in mind that you may need a splitter and it does not come with one.

All in all, for the price, it is worth the purchase. Again, I prefer these over my previous headset, the fit is more comfy and the sound is WAY better. I don't think I will be playing Overwatch without these on anymore haha.

When using them to listen to music they sounded pretty good. Better than other headsets in a similiar price range for sure. External noise was also cut off way more than I thought would be as well, so that's a bonus!

I hope this small review helped anyone considering purchasing one of these! Also, enjoy some pics of D.Vas bunny jamming to tunes with it!
